Sculptor and printmaker Brian Kirk courts chemical reactions to create ephemeral, phantom-like prints from rusting metal. A marriage of art and science, Kirk’s rust prints bloom in hues of lush amber, ochre, and apricot. “Natural Reaction” will be on view at The Art League Gallery, September 5—October 7, 2018.

Community Building Art Works returns to the Riverview Room for the next Community Writing Workshop. No creative writing experience required! October's workshop will be led by Susanna Sonnenberg, who is the author of two NYT best-selling memoirs, HER LAST DEATH and SHE MATTERS: A LIFE IN FRIENDSHIPS. Her work has appeared in many magazines, newspapers and anthologies, and she regularly teaches writing workshops in Missoula and elsewhere.
