September is a special month for two diverse communities in Alexandria. It is the celebration of Enkutatash (Ethiopian New Year) in the Ethiopian community, a large population in Alexandria’s West End, as well as the start of Hispanic Heritage Month honoring the Latin American community, a vibrant population comprising a vital part of Alexandria’s Arlandria neighborhood.
October is a time for reflection and renewal. Put on your favorite fall colors, sip your pumpkin-spice latte, and enjoy the cooler weather as we put on a fall masquerade. Costumes are optional but HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. Best dressed will win a special prize at our presentations at 8:30 pm. Featuring DJ sets with all your favorite October and Halloween-themed music. Fire On artists explore light, optimism and human joy as they play with glass, glaze and 3-D creations. Our ceramic and glass artists offer prints and wall art and handcrafted original cards. Shop some sunshine for Mom, Dad, weddings, engagements and glorious occasions.

The Torpedo Factory Art Center is closed for New Year's Day, Easter, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
