Part skate park, part secret pop-up art show, The Late Shift: Freestyle is the first of three late-night festivals over the course of the 2017 summer season. Experience late-night art happenings in the Torpedo Factory and along the riverfront. Featuring music, DIY projects, digital video projections, artists from all over the DMV, a photo booth, and more. FREE; all are welcome.

Join us on Second Thursday Art Night: Collage/Melange as our Summer 2017 Post-Graduate Resident, Lindsay Hall, offers an artist demonstration in her studio and talks up her creative process with visitors.
The Torpedo Factory partners with USO Metro, Combat Paper NJ, Warrior Writers, and Community Building Artworks to host a one-night art exhibition of works made by veterans and service members. Artworks on display are all created from paper made from cut uniforms.

The Torpedo Factory Art Center welcomes back the Washington DC Chapter of ACM SIGGRAPH to host the 44th Annual SIGGRAPH Computer Animation Festival Showcase in Alexandria, Va. This festival showcases some of the most dazzling and innovative collection of submitted works selected by a distinguished jury of computer graphics experts and specialists.
