Guy Jones: “Drawing Energy: The Logic of Madness”
Studio 21 - The Art League GalleryArtist Guy Jones explores art’s ability to transcend and heal by tapping into what he calls the “logic of madness.” Jones draws directly onto the surface of animal skulls and bones, tree fungus, turtle shells, and gourds, experiencing a deep spiritual kinship with the natural objects that serve as his canvases. Jones’s “Drawing Energy: The Logic of Madness” will be on view at The Art League gallery, July 5-August 5, 2018.

Off the Grid
Sites 2 & 3“Off the Grid” is an exhibition featuring the artwork created by Northern Virginia inmates under the volunteer instruction of Kelli Schollard-Sincock (aka Ms. Kelli) of ‘Inspiration Matterz’. The students in Ms. Kelli’s classes range in age, background, and experience, most having never drawn before. She uses a step-by-step process utilizing a griding system to teach the basics in observation and interpretation of line, tone and texture.
