A trip to the King Street Art Festival isn't complete without a visit to the Art Center. Enjoy a glass of craft beer or wine while exploring all three floors of artists' studios. Meet the artists and find original art created on-site. Recharge and refresh with exhibitions, games, and music.
As featured in the 2018 HBO Documentary We Are Not Done Yet, Community Building Art Works serves veterans, military personnel, and members of the community through generative creative-writing workshops. Led by accomplished authors, they are focused on using the written word as a tool for introspection, communication, and connection. Bring a pen, a notebook, and an open mind.
According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, “Memento mori” is the literal Latin translation for “‘remember (that you have) to die”. The purpose of this exhibition is to explore death as a concept and how it affects our lives. Through explorations of entropy/decay, ghosts and paranormal spirits, or personal experiences, this exhibit will contemplate how the inevitability of death impacts us all.
