Check out our December Torpedo Talk at 8pm in the Main Hall, featuring Sierra Leonean born immigrant, writer, and installation artist Desiree Venn Frederic.
As her winter 2017 residency comes to a close, interdiscplinary artist Fumi Amano will share about her inspirations, her work during her studies at VCU, and her time at the Torpedo Factory Art Center. Part of the Late Shift, our night of art receptions, music, and hands-on art projects.

Ars memoria, or the art of memory, associates emotionally striking and memorable images within a body of text. They have often be used in the study of architecture, law, medicine, and the arts. Jolande Goldberg shares an overview of the law book illustrations and the Law Library of Congress's efforts to preserve this history.
