Torpedo Factory Art Center joins the fun on Alexandria’s most festive weekend of the year! Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive by fire boat around 3:30 p.m. on the Waterfront. Music fills the halls and the Waterfront, beckoning people to browse three floors of open artists’ studios.
Target Gallery’s popular annual exhibition and art sale, March150, returns to the Torpedo Factory Art Center for the 12th year. Proceeds benefit future exhibitions and programs at Target Gallery and the Torpedo Factory Art Center.
September is a special month for two diverse communities in Alexandria. It is the celebration of Enkutatash (Ethiopian New Year) in the Ethiopian community, a large population in Alexandria’s West End, as well as the start of Hispanic Heritage Month honoring the Latin American community, a vibrant population comprising a vital part of Alexandria’s Arlandria neighborhood.
