Printmaker and sculptor Brian Kirk manipulates the natural interaction of water and steel to create unique, rust-pattern prints that challenge assumptions of steel’s strength and durability.
Sculptor and printmaker Brian Kirk courts chemical reactions to create ephemeral, phantom-like prints from rusting metal. A marriage of art and science, Kirk’s rust prints bloom in hues of lush amber, ochre, and apricot. “Natural Reaction” will be on view at The Art League Gallery, September 5—October 7, 2018.

The musical 19 celebrates the dynamic and little-known story of Alice Paul, suffragists and their fight to get women the right to vote— the 19th Amendment. The inspirational story of these fearless women is brought to life through jazz, spoken word, dance and audience interaction.
