Torpedo Factory Art Center resident artist Dejan Jovanovic (Studio 15) will share information about how he uses 3D printing with his jewelry design during this presentation with DC ACM SIGGRAPH.
Dejan, an artist for more than twenty years who has exhibited works in the US and Europe. He’ll talk about his process as well as the tools required to render his jewelry designs. A brief discussion on the history of 3D printing will also precede the presentation.
Dejan trained as a sculptor at Belgrade University School of Applied Arts in Serbia, where he focused on the challenges of creating large-scale sculptures. He has exhibited his work in the US and Europe and has worked on fabrication and metalsmithing projects for many private clients, including the White House, Smithsonian Institution, and Washington National Cathedral, and has also worked for Tiffany and Company. He has been established in Washington, DC since 2002.
