Blooming, With or Without You is a spring and floral themed group exhibition featuring nine Torpedo Factory Art Center artists. This exhibition celebrates new beginnings, empowerment, and redemption from past trauma, toxic patterns, abuse, and one’s own shortcomings. It invites us to take a moment to pause and acknowledge our strength to rise above the murky waters and raise ourselves toward the sun, rather than to only see the painful or challenging parts of our lives. It is also a notion of hope that, by tending to ourselves with the right soil, environment, and water– or simply with time — beautiful things can still grow out of nothingness or something that has been destroyed; furthermore, there was never a nothing, or a lost cause — one’s true essence lies and will always lie beneath the surface, waiting to break through over and over again.
Everything has a never-ending pulse of potential energy to become something new.
