The Visiting Artist Program is a professional development opportunity for emerging and experienced visual artists. Visiting Artists take part in a Summer Residency Program with the Torpedo Factory Artists Association, a juried membership organization with more than 250 active visual artists. Selected Visiting Artists will have the possibility of utilizing studio space during the Summer months from June through September, where they will have the possibility of learning to work in front of an audience, display and sell original work while interacting with Summer visitors.
This exhibition highlights the work of 2018 Visiting Artists and creates visibility of works selected through this program in collaboration with Torpedo Factory Art Center and the City of Alexandria. The exhibitions will run from July 6 – September 30 with rotating groups of artists’s works.
