The Teen Winter Art Contest is a self-expressive, visual art contest created by the Alexandria Library for painters and photographers in middle schools and high schools throughout Alexandria. All award winners will be showcased in Site 2 (the corridor by the elevator on the 2nd floor) throughout May.
April is Architecture Month. The Art Center welcomes an exhibition by AIA Northern Virginia featuring award-winning projects by local architects.
Internal Dialogue: Representing Selves is a collection of portraits of and by post-9/11 veterans. These portraits, in a range of media, represent multiple dimensions of American Veterans, including those often invisible to the civilian imagination.
A look back at the past 100 years, from the evolution from the building's first life as a munitions plant to the past 45 years as an Art Center, pioneering creative place making in America.

The Torpedo Factory Art Center is closed for New Year's Day, Easter, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
