Fiberworks Studio and the Torpedo Factory Artists’ Association welcomes you as we honor the annual Cherry Blossom Festival with a week-long celebration of art demos, private tours and in-studio specials.
The artists at Fiberworks have created cherry blossom inspired 12″ x 12″ square wall pieces in addition to a wide range of new works celebrating the coming season. The Fiberworks’ exhibit will be up through April.

Catch and Release
Please come, meet the artist, join us for refreshments and you might just catch one of these beautiful one-of-a-kind cashmere sweaters to brighten the fall season.
“The inspiration for the show is my visit to the Andy Warhol Museum. I was thinking a lot about the idea that a flower is something beautiful, but whose beauty is ephemeral. After a summer of working on this new collection of cashmere applique sweaters, they are ready to be released back into the world (all my sweaters are catch and release).
My idea was to make only minimal changes to the structure of the sweater itself. I liked the idea that I was merely “catching” these beautiful cashmere sweaters, and then releasing them back into the world. Only now adorned with appliques.
Inspiration for Virginia’s work are all the wonderful colors and textures of the various yarns and fabrics she uses in her work.

Fiberworks artists feature hats: baby hats, knit hats, felted hats, cloth hats, silk paper hat. Something for everyone.
Fiberworks’ featured artist, Tamara Embrey, will share new creations and examples of what inspires her work.
Group show at Fiberworks. Using a square as a base, artists present their creative solutions.

Fiber artist Gloria Barbre presents microfiber water repellant raincoats to give that special one-of-a-kind look to your wardrove. Add a touch of color; hand painted silk scarves and evening jackets finish the look. An accomplished artist, Ms Barbre has studied in Paris as well as graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Please join us for a reception on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10th from 1 to 4 pm.
