Portable and Pint-Sized

Crystal clear original spring landscape oil painting embellished suspended art by Brianna Camp of Fairfax, Va.
Artists explore undersized artmaking, presenting small pieces with big personality.
Art at your fingertips materialize in masterpieces of pottery, sculpture, botanical prints, paintings and kiln formed glass.
These treasures want to travel, offering a slice of Zen to life. Be inspired, trigger a memory, or conjure a sense of peace with palm-sized perfection. Potters offer handmade drink ware from miniatures to espresso and demitasse cups to lowball tumblers, graduating to man mugs. Wearable art ranges from stately statement medallions in glass to demure handpainted porcelain vignette jewelry.
Add original flair to grace a desktop, populate a cubicle and create a corner sanctuary. Sculpted torsos add classical elegance, wall tiles offer accents with earth tones.
Every piece is travel-sized yet gallery-worthy and gift-ready, making it a surefire keepsake. Graduates need encouragement that fits in a carry-on. Highly transportable mugs, mini vases, prints and demure paintings can attend a graduation celebration or a bridal or baby shower.
Father’s Day demands thoughtful gifts without demanding trunk space. A hand sculpted woodfire face jug adds folk art expression and elevates a man-cave to an upscale mantuary. Tokens like freeform artisan glass rainbow drops and hearts embody the lively spirit of Pride while tea light holders offers warmth to early summer events.
Summer travel begs for artistic reminders of home scaled for real life. Downsizing doesn’t mean downgrading when every handcrafted piece is a hand-selected, functional original. Beach houses showcase simplistic beauty that edge toward elemental. Casual-sized, highly crafted expressions are built for living large by thinking small.
