Fred Zafran is a fine art photographer living in Loudoun County, VA and working in the DC metro area. Much of his work is an observation of our urban environment and human landscape. The photographs are the result of unplanned encounters, driven by the energy and current of the street. Beyond the depicted images, Zafran's work is about the patterns of shadow, light and darkness that one thing against another creates – seeing and exploring the small corners of the luminous world around us.

All images are captured digitally and printed using archival pigment inks and fine art archival cotton papers. Prints are offered in small editions and are typically matted to 20" x 24." Prices vary according to image size and edition. Prints are available through the Multiple Exposures Gallery at the Torpedo Factory Art Center, and through Fred Zafran's studio in Leesburg, VA.
