Alexandria painter, Niki Pickett works on large canvasses interpreting floral landscapes. Using loose brush strokes and exciting colors of pinks, purples, blues and greens, she strives to capture the essence of a lush flower garden or the flowers themselves.
Niki received her degree in art from the University of Iowa
She has studied with Washington, D.C. artists Ralph deBurgos and Paul Reed
Niki has exhibited and won several prizes for her work including the Art League, Fairfax County Council of the Arts, Vienna Society of Artists and the Arts Club of Washington
Her paintings are part of numerous private and corporate collections through out the country. She maintains a studio at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, Virginia
