Dejan makes customized pieces from the most exquisite choices of beautiful gemstones including raw and cut diamonds, pearls and opals. Pieces are made of gold, platinum, sterling silver, bronze and stainless steel. Elegant and unusual rings, bracelets, broaches, pendants, necklaces are made using traditional techniques combined with modern technology.
Dejan has been an artist for more than 20 years, immersed in applied art and high craft. He grew up surrounded by art and creativity. From as early as he can remember he was fascinated by shapes and had the freedom to enjoy creating in the studio of his father who was a sculptor. Dejan went on to train as a sculptor at Belgrade University School of Applied Arts in Serbia where he focused on the challenges of creating large-scale sculptures and graduated top of his class with honors. He graduated with his MFA in metal design from East Carolina University School of Art and Design in North Carolina.
Dejan has exhibited his work in the US and Europe and has worked on fabrication and metalsmithing projects for many private clients including the White House, Smithsonian Institution and Washington National Cathedral and has also worked for Tiffany and Co. He has been established in Washington, DC since 2002. His work has been featured in many publications including Martha Stewart Weddings, Washingtonian magazine and American Craft and has won numerous international prizes and awards.
