My paintings consist of small squares painted on paper and pasted on canvas. This modular approach helps me in establishing unexpected visual rhythms and the push and pull of contrasting qualities. I embrace the coexistence and tension of chaos and control. Lines and colors are the two important elements in my painting. They engage me at the most expressive level. My training in calligraphy is reflected in my use of linear elements, while colors give emotional depth to my work. I paint mostly in acrylic and mixed media on canvas as small as 5x5 and as large as 60x120.
