I’m a silversmith generally, but dabble in many other mediums - block printing, embroidery. My work. as a silversmith, block printer, and overall creative, is informed by an intense nod to my heritage and artisans who came before me. I am very influenced by the motifs, patterns, and designs of South Asia, with interpreting these elements into a variety of commodities. I draw my artistic practice through my academic background as well, focusing on the unique material cultural traditions that exist in South Asia. I frame my practice as a means to deconstruct the ways that we see and interact with elements of our culture.
