Bahadori is a prizewinning mixed media and colorist painter whose multicultural upbringing shines through his vibrant abstract and surreal works. From his early beginnings tracing carpet motifs and mosaics in his place of birth Tabriz, Azerbaijan, Iran, to his teenage years sketching from the masters in Paris, Bahadori’s story is rich in art and experience, spanning countries and cultures. He graduated as a textile designer and obtained his master’s in digital application design for textiles from The University of Manchester, UK. Bahadori settled in his current home in Northern Virginia in 1992, where he studied under the founders of the Washington Color School. Later he developed his unique contemporary series at The Art League and Torpedo Factory Art Center, Alexandria, VA.
