The Torpedo Factory Artists’ Association (TFAA) has renamed The Associates Gallery (TAG) to honor Marian Van Landingham, who led the development of the Torpedo Factory into an Art Center 45 years ago. Located in Studio 311 at the top of the stairs on the third floor, the gallery was formed in January 2015 following its endorsement by the Board of the Torpedo Factory Artists Association (TFAA).
In 1974 Marian spearheaded the transformation of a decrepit former military storage building into the Torpedo Factory Art Center and currently works in studio 321 in the Art Center.
The Gallery features monthly juried membership and solo exhibits with work by a range of Torpedo Factory Artists’ Association members.
Exhibition possibilities at VLG are open to all TFAA members and more widely, the DC Metro area artist community. The TFAA believes this inclusiveness increases the vibrancy of the Art Center. TFAA Members may submit artworks to monthly juried shows, propose workshops, host art demonstrations and art talks. Community members and organizations may reach out to partner with a TFAA member. Your imagination is the limit! Visit the Torpedo Factory Artists Association website to submit a proposal.
