You are invited to attend the second in a series of Saturday STEAM workshops provided by the American Geosciences Institute in collaboration with the Torpedo Factory Art Center. Participants will explore the many interdisciplinary ways that the arts can support STEM education—an approach that adds an “A” for arts to STEM, making STEAM.

Community Building Art Works returns to the Riverview Room for the next Community Writing Workshop. No creative writing experience required! September's workshop will be led by the National Endowment for the Arts Lit Team: Amy Stolls (Director of Literature) Mohamed Sheriff (Literature Specialist) Jessica Flynn (Literature Specialist) Katy Day (Assistant Grants Management Specialist).
Post-Grad Resident Sara Roberts offers the third and final workshop in her series. Workshop will run from 3-5pm in the Post Grad Studio (Studio 319) at the Torpedo Factory Art Center.

Washington DC Chapter of ACM SIGGRAPH hosts the 45th Annual SIGGRAPH Computer Animation Festival Showcase at the Torpedo Factory Art Center. This festival showcases a collection of some of the most dazzling and innovative works, selected by a distinguished jury of computer-graphics experts and specialists.
Art Menagerie will convert our Site 3 Project Gallery into visual art zoo featuring animal-themed paintings and prints from Veronica Barker-Barzel (Studio # 325), Christine Cardellino (Studio # 313), Matt Cuenca (Studio # 335), Tracie Griffith Tso (Studio #22), Guy Jones (Studio # 337) and the papier-mâché sculptures of Lisa Schumaier (Studio # 16), an Art Safari fan favorite.
The Torpedo Factory Art Center welcomes back The HRCHY to the New Project Studio for a follow-up to their successful 2016 project, "Connecting the Dots," an ongoing exhibition dedicated to highlighting urban artists from unique backgrounds living in the DC, MD, and VA metropolitan area.
