The Art League School

The Art League School offers classes in virtually all of the fine arts, and a wide variety of crafts, with some of the most talented and well known artists in the country. Courses are offered for every skill level to ages five and up.

Workshop: StorySpaces and Visual BioScapes

Post-Graduate resident, Danielle Smith, conducts a series of free writing and painting workshops designed for young girls aged 8-16. The goal is to provide a space for girls to discuss aspects of society that affects their lives directly while channeling their emotions--both positive and negative--into artistic processes.

Mobile Art Lab in the New Project Studio

Studio 8 - New Project Studio

Alexandria's Mobile Art Lab activates public spaces and connects the arts with people. From screenprinting in Market Square to a silent disco in Montgomery Park, the big blue truck has organized a variety of activities and performances throughout the city.

Post-Graduate Studio: Jay Hendrick – “Joke Workshop”

Studio 12 - MFA Post-Grad Residents 105 N. Union St., Alexandria, VA

Participants are invited to assist in an exploration of both humor and learning with the purpose of finding parallels between humor and art. The workshop will be led by Post Graduate Torpedo Factory Resident, Jay Hendrick and performance artist and comedian, Christine Ferrera.
