This month we celebrate “The Shock of the New.” Visit new exhibitions in the Target Gallery, Art League Gallery, and Associate Gallery. Check out a Late Shift retrospective in the New Project Studio. Spend time with Lindsay Hall before her artist talk later this month. Take part in a DIY activity with the Artists Association. Live music provided by DJ Vico Vibes. Torpedo Factory at 15th Annual King Street Festival

The King Street Art Festival returns for its 15th year, transforming the city’s historic main street into a world-class outdoor art gallery. Artists from the Torpedo Factory community and Target Gallery's exhibition, Culture Shock, will be holding demonstrations all weekend. Watch them work, then go see their work on view just a few blocks away.

This festival showcases some of the most dazzling and innovative collection of submitted works selected by a distinguished jury of computer graphics experts and specialists.

Beyond the pomp and circumstance, what does it mean to have served?  This night celebrates the opening of the exhibition “Perspective Shift: What it Means to Serve,” a filming of "Highest Honor" Veterans Day Banner Project, and spoken poems and music by active and retired service members. 

Veterans Comedy Show with Armed Services Arts Partnership (ASAP)

The Torpedo Factory Art Center welcomes back Armed Services Arts Partnership (ASAP) to host a special comedy show featuring veterans, service members, and military family members from the DC Metro Area. The event will provide a platform for veteran artists to showcase their talents, express themselves, and have their voices heard in front of members of the local community. This is an opportunity for the civilian and military world to connect through comedy, dispel stereotypes and misnomers, and engage in an honest dialogue about the veteran, military, and human experience.
