Daniel Taye

Sites 2 & 3

Taye is known for his evocative landscape and figurative work as he experiments with different mediums, color composition and depth. He has been described as an artist who inspired more puzzled expressions than praise, but his uninhibited flow of thought and rare perspective are ultimately his forte.

Night of Honor

Torpedo Factory Art Center

Beyond the pomp and circumstance, what does it mean to have served?  This night celebrates the opening of the exhibition “Perspective Shift: What it Means to Serve,” a filming of "Highest Honor" Veterans Day Banner Project, and spoken poems and music by active and retired service members.

Off the Grid

Sites 2 & 3

“Off the Grid” is an exhibition featuring the artwork created by Northern Virginia inmates under the volunteer instruction of Kelli Schollard-Sincock (aka Ms. Kelli) of ‘Inspiration Matterz’. The students in Ms. Kelli’s classes range in age, background, and experience, most having never drawn before. She uses a step-by-step process utilizing a griding system to teach the basics in observation and interpretation of line, tone and texture.
