The Associates Gallery, TAG, is off to a fabulous start as the newest gallery to open at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in over a decade.
The artists are celebrating their new gallery in a group exhibit, Mosaics, April 26 – May 3 in studio 319. This special one-week exhibit gives visitors a sample of the variety and diversity of art that will be shown in the gallery each month featuring eleven of the associate artists together in one show.
Ceramics artist and jewelry maker Bev Andrews joins ceramic artist Brian Grow and fiber artists Erika Cleveland showcasing her therapeutic healing dolls and Mary Holmgren featuring her hand-woven wearables. Painters Ellen Delaney, Ellen Kolansky, Barbara Muth, Gail Spencer Saour, and Susan Sherwin bring unique perspectives and aesthetic to the medium with their diverse techniques and styles from figurative to landscape to abstract. Fine art photographers Julie Patrick brings abstract water reflection to life in colorful palettes and Jo Ann Tooley uses her medium format camera to capture evocative scenes in black and white of landscapes that echo of deeper memory.
Join the multifaceted TAG artists at a reception on Sun., April 26, from 2 – 4:30 on the 3rd floor of the Torpedo Factory. Meet TAG artists, see over a dozen works of art, and sample a dozen desserts at the reception!
