Prinkmakers Inc (Studio 325) presents “Out on a Limb,” an exhibition featuring new work by Printmakers members Judith Coady and Priscilla Young.
Coady and Young have created monotypes inspired by experiences of the natural world. Siberian Elm tree silhouettes viewed from a hot tub on a frigid night are the inspiration for Coady’s trees. Young’s insects are from childhood memories of life in Indonesia. Her close observation of each insect results in beautiful and striking monotypes. These monotypes are enhanced with pastel, watercolor and collage, creating each fresh and unique hand-pulled print.
