Join the Gallery Director for an art-viewing and making Happy Hour. In this free, hands-on event, participants will be invited to take a closer look at work created by The Art League’s monthly Solo Artist. After a critical viewing exercise, participants will engage in an in-depth discussion of the work, as well as the artist’s process and intent. A responsive art making session will follow. Guy Jones is the Solo Artist featured this month. In his exhibit “Drawing Energy: The Logic of Madness,” Jones uses his Cherokee teachings to evoke the energy and spirit of living things in his pen and ink drawings.
