Eisner Award-winner Martha Kennedy was inspired by her curatorial work for the Library of Congress applied and popular graphic arts division to research and publish a survey of women illustrators and cartoonists. Kennedy highlights a few of her favorite images by these artists whose lives and work merit more attention and study.
