In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore the imaginative potential of enchanted objects—ordinary things reimagined with extraordinary, speculative functions. Blending design fiction with user-centered thinking, attendees will learn strategies for envisioning alternative futures and designing objects that respond in meaningful ways to human needs.
Through guided activities, each participant will define a persona facing a specific challenge, then design an enchanted object that enhances, augments, or transforms an everyday experience.
The goal is to create objects that are not only more useful, delightful, and engaging, but that also prompt reflection on the roles design and technology play in our lives.
Participants will use storytelling and prototyping to communicate how their object interacts with the persona, creating rich speculative scenarios that blend creativity with purpose.
