Borders & Boundaries

Borders & Boundaries examines work inspired by the outsider’s perspective. The theme extends to geographical boundaries, personal boundaries, societal boundaries, and everything in between. Our juror is Clint Mansell, Director of Principle Gallery in Alexandria, VA.

Juror: Clint Mansell is the Director of the Principle Gallery in Alexandria, VA. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio University with a double major in Photography and Sculpture. During his college years, he was educated in many studio disciplines and attained a broad knowledge of what art is and what it can be. After graduating, he moved from Ohio to the DC metro area in search of a career in fine arts. He began working at Principle Gallery as a gallery assistant in 2009 and has continued to propel himself upward into positions of increasing impact and responsibility. As the Director, he curates gallery inventory, manages gallery staff, fosters strong relationships with the gallery’s many artists, and cultivates the strongest possible sales.
