Art in Progress is a weekly public program series highlighting a different artist along with an interview and a demonstration or hands-on project.
Karen Fitzgerald works in Alexandria, VA and is collected throughout the US and internationally. Since 2017, she has focused on the creation of a series of large pieces out of encyclopedias, examining the changes in how we think about and share information and the many ways that alters how we interpret ourselves and others.
