Every 2nd Friday of the Month, through October 2025, Torpedo Factory Art Center is open late. Explore the building full of artists, enjoy music, art activations, and ignite your creative spirit! These events are free.

Plant Clipping Share Out | Outside Studio 9 | 7-10 p.m.
Celebrate Pride this June with a free drop-in cup decorating and plant clipping share out with post-grad resident artist Jill McCarthy Stauffer. Drop in to decorate your own biodegradable paper cup with natural dyes, then use the cup to bring home a plant clipping (soil provided). Participants will be shown basic wet media mark making techniques to decorate their cup, which can later be buried directly into a planter. Participants are welcome to bring a plant clipping to exchange or donate if they so choose, although this is not required.
Let Pride Bloom: Community Fiber Project | Outside Studio 29 | 7-10 p.m.
Stop by Potomac Fiber Arts Gallery during Second Friday to help us make a fiber flower garden. Select your favorite flower from among a rainbow of choices and attach it to our Pride Garden work-in-progress wherever you like. When our garden is full of flowers, it will be displayed as a community-made “yarn bomb” in the Torpedo Factory.

Safe Space NOVA | Grand Hall | 7-10 p.m.
Stop by Safe Space NOVA’s table to learn more about their upcoming programming, including the 2025 Pride Prom hosted at Torpedo Factory Art Center.

Pride Jeopardy Game | Grand Hall | 7-10 p.m.
Learn about historical and recent LGBTQ+ history and trivia with a drop-in style jeopardy game hosted by the Office of Historic Alexandria.
Bandana Decorating | Grand Hall | 7-10 p.m.
Using tie dye and fabric markers, decorate and take home a TFAC bandana!
2nd Friday Artist Spotlight | Third Floor Studios | 7-9 p.m.
Over a dozen studios will be open on the 3rd floor, welcoming visitors during 2nd Friday festivities! Head up to the 3rd floor to meet the artists and get to know their work!
