DC Public Opera presents a chic, contemporary production of Mozart and DaPonte’s comic opera masterpiece Così fan tutte (The School for Lovers). Inspired by Andy Warhol’s work and his infamous parties at his New York studio, The Factory, the performances take place in the Torpedo Factory Art Center as a live installation.
Mozart meets immersive theater and multimedia art in this unique production, which will be performed in Italian with English supertitles. Michelle Rofrano conducts DC Public Opera’s chamber orchestra. Directed by Jennifer Williams, founding artistic director. Production design by Betsy Muller. This event is presented as part of the Torpedo Factory’s Community Partnerships program. Tickets start at $25 and are available via dcpublicopera.org.
