The annual City of Alexandria Summer Sidewalk Sale will return on Saturday, August 12, 2023, throughout Old Town and Del Ray. The event is one of the longest running seasonal summer shopping events in the D.C. region’s Shop Small destination for independent boutiques and features dozens of Alexandria boutiques stepping out of their storefronts and offering deeply discounted summer merchandise.
Torpedo Factory Art Center is home to the nation’s largest collection of working-artists’ open studios under one roof. Visit 71 studios and 9 galleries to shop directly from the artists while they create. Each artist or gallery is an independent business working in painting, printmaking, jewelry, photography, ceramics, sculpture and more. Many will offer discounts on one of a kind works of art.
