Torpedo Factory Art Center On The Road, now on view at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center newly refreshed lobby, located at 5000 Seminary Road, Alexandria, VA 22311. A public reception will take place on November 15, 2022, 5 – 7 pm.
Torpedo Factory Art Center is proud partner with The Hilton Alexandria Mark Center to bring art from the Art Center’s renowned artists to Alexandria’s west end. The exhibition is a collection of 15 artworks by 14 of the Art Center’s Resident Artists and Artists Pro Tem, all selected through a detailed, competitive, jury process.

All art is two dimensional, and includes wood, oil and acrylic paint, natural pigments, found objects, collage, and photography. Tara Barr, and Sierra Barnes’s work includes fun and whimsical depictions and styles of carousel horses. Charlene Nield and Jacelyn Orellana both explore figurative painting, abstracted through process. Photographers Jenny Nordstrom and Mike Stevens find narrative and composition through the lens of their cameras, while artists such as Beverly Ryan, Alison Sigethy, and Sally Veach use varied process to develop abstract forms rotating between flat plain and dimensional space.
