Birds of a Feather

Spring and early summer bring the return of many varieties of birds to the mid-Atlantic states. Their colors, songs, and antics inspire our members’ creativity.

Clouds, Showers, and Rainbows

Spring brings us beautiful flowering bulbs and trees, but it also brings us the wonderful colors and shapes of clouds, showers and rainbows.

Purple Pops

The many shades and tones of purple are our inspiration for this show. Winter is out and color is in!

Architecture in Fiber

Here in Alexandria, Virginia, we are surrounded by beautiful and exciting buildings, bridges, parks, and monuments.  Both our local and worldwide architecture serve as inspiration for the pieces in this show.

Repeated  patterns, repeated themes, repeated textures and repeated colors all lead to interesting and exciting pieces.

East Meets West

Ikat weaving, Batik, Sashiko embroidery, Shibori dyeing, hand stamping, and a myriad of other Eastern techniques and clothing styles are integrated with Western designs and techniques. Non-themed work will also be exhibited. (Image: detail of jacket, Gretchen Klimoski)
