I'm a photographer, educator and fine artist interested in humans and their interconnectedness with nature. I cherish the planet and aim to protect it and its inhabitants. My work reflects the essence of life; what is felt more than seen.
I work in the studio and the outdoors using digital, film and alternative photo processes and different camera formats. I will often handcolor or collage my images to extend what is already present in the subject matter. I dabble in haiku and journal to bring ideas into words and sketches.

My immersion into the visual world began as a child in the creek across from my home. For hours I watched reflections, crayfish, water striders and leaves floating on the water. I sat in treetops, chewed weeds and admired the wildlife. I still work in this way watching, waiting and absorbing.
