Kyoko Hull was born and raised in Japan. She completed her undergraduate degree at Keio University in Tokyo and her Masters degree at Boston University.

Ms. Hull has studied pottery at the Art League School in Alexandria, Virginia; the Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina; and the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Maine.

A professional potter since 1997, Ms. Hull creates porcelain pots for everyday use. Although trained in the United States, her work reflects the influence of the Japanese pots of her childhood.

Her pots can be found at the Torpedo Factory Art Center and shops in Washington, D.C. and Connecticut.

Currently she is focusing on her new mixed media work.
