First Show for Newly Juried Torpedo Factory Artist

One of the Torpedo Factory’s newest artists, Richard Greenway, exhibits his paintings at The Associates Gallery (TAG) in his first solo show. The show runs from July 19 through August 14 in studio 311.

Decathect: a verb

The theme of the show is derived from a series of very personal studies illustrating the artist progression from when he first began painting with oils in 2010. Greenway’s juxtaposition of objects in paintings invokes vignettes of stories not yet finished. “Having a certain level of emotional detachment from my paintings has been liberating,’’ says Greenway.

Meet the artist from 4-6pm at a reception on Thursday, July 21.
