I am afine art photographer with a strong interest in land, sea and cityscapes. When creating landscapes and seascapes my favorite time to photograph is very early in the morning, before sunrise, when I can inhale the quiet stillness around me. For cityscapes, I enjoy photographing after sunset, and into the night, but my favorite time of all is following a fresh snowfall when the city transforms into something magical.

I’m comfortable shooting with both my Nikon SLR, as well as my everyday iPhone camera. Regardless of the equipment used, my aim is always to capture, and communicate, what I see and how I feel. Typically, my final product is an archival fine art print on paper or canvas, but I also enjoy working with image transfer and encaustic materials to created multi-layered, mixed media results. More recently I have been exploring book arts projects, and am currently working on a hand-bound book series incorporating my own imagery.

In addition my fine art work, for over a decade I have been offering digital photography courses on a variety of topics including Lightroom, Photoshop, iPhoneography, Portfolio Development, Master Printing, and more. I also lead photography workshops to destinations such as Charleston, SC, Acadia, ME, and the Delaware Shore. For more information about my photography and my workshops, please visit my website at www.colleenhenderson.com

My work is held in many private and corporate collections, including the permanent collection of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. Prices for my work range from $200 - $2,000, depending on size and framing choices.
