Memento Mori

September 28 - November 3

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, “Memento mori” is the literal Latin translation for “‘remember (that you have) to die”. The purpose of this exhibition is to explore death as a concept and how it affects our lives. Through explorations of entropy/decay, ghosts and paranormal spirits, or personal experiences, this exhibit will contemplate how the inevitability of death impacts us all.

Opening Reception Friday, February 14 • 7-9 pm Gallery Talk at 8 pm My Queer Valentine explores love and relationships through LGBTQ+ artists perspectives. The themes and subject of artwork in this exhibition explore non-heteronormative and non-binary relationships and the artists’ perspectives on love (romantic or asexual). To celebrate this exhibition, Target Gallery will be hosting a special Valentine’s Day reception and event in partnership with local LGBTQ+ organizations.
