Saaraliisa Ylitalo: In the Distance – Fewer Yesterdays Fewer Tomorrows

Opening Reception:  Sunday, September 7  1-4 pm.

This is a show about loss of memory.  Ylitalo shares, “I care for my aging mother and as I watch her age I see in front of me my path as I grow older.  It is humbling and full of loss.  The works themselves reference looking through a window into the  fugitive past or a diminishing future.”

“The works are made of missing information:  what is not there is as important as what is there.”

The paper is indigo dyed and most is felted and spun.
