I am a fine art photographer and define my artistic vision as an exploration of extraordinary moments that occur throughout our daily lives. At times my work has been driven by a specific idea or subject matter, such as chronicling the itinerant world of rural county fairs, or observing human interactions within the halls of museums. In other instances I allow intuition and chance to guide me as I wander the streets of local neighborhoods, or the boulevards of foreign cities. With camera in hand, I experience an elevated awareness of the quality of light and the emergence of shapes, forms, and patterns. As I monitor the delicate balance of the natural world interacting with the conglomeration of built environments, my mind continually recomposes what I see in front of me, organizing disparate elements until a compelling arrangement is revealed for me to capture in-camera.
