My imagery is inspired by nature, ancient rituals and social issues. Many of my paintings and monotypes reflect my fascination with abstracting from real things. Others are a result of working directly from the canvas or etching plate without a preconceived idea of how they will turn out. I add color, line and texture and allow the piece to emerge. My art works are my artistic responses to my thoughts, feelings and reactions to the world.
I received a Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) and Master of Fine Art (MFA) degrees from the Maryland Institute, College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore, MD. While living in Europe, I studied painting with artists in Germany, France, Italy and Hungary. My work has been exhibited in juried and other shows overseas and in the greater Washington, DC area.

Enjoy my art and let me know if you have questions or comments.
