Janice Sayles is excited by the challenges of the watercolor medium. Her paintings are her response to what she sees and the memories that are awakened. She explores the beauty of clear glass and other everyday objects in large still life paintings. She adds excitement with patterns and objects often merged and distorted when seen through transparent elements or reflected in other surfaces. The light, sparkle and rhythms of the compositions combined with her exquisite color choices produce a joyous quality.

Janice has received more than 40 awards in juried shows and is included in many corporate and government collections and in private homes around the world. She has been featured in American Artist Magazine, Watercolor Magazine and the books The Best of Watercolor I and II. She received a Bachelor of Art Degree from the University of California at Los Angeles with undergraduate studies at Oklahoma City University. She has continued to study the arts through workshops and classes with Burton Silverman, Betty Lou Schlemm, Susan Abbott and Donna Watson, John Salminen and others.

Painting sizes are from 5 x 7 inches to 30 x 40 inches. Prices range from $300 to $4000. She has also produced etchings and stone lithographs.
