Alice designs one of a kind and limited edition modern jewelry made of alternative and non precious materials: paper, ultrasuede, polypropylene, epoxy resin and silicone rubber - among others. She is also a print maker, illustrator and graphic designer; see her work at www.alicekresse.com.
Alice worked for many years in the publishing industry as an art director and designer and discovered her jeweler self late in the day. In jewelry she found a way to integrate her love of typography, textiles, art history, mid-century modernism, botany and random objects.
Alice has a BFA in Printmaking from Ohio University and studied jewelry at the Corcoran College of Art and Design.
