While growing up in Switzerland, I was always interested in design and after moving to the USA, I worked as a graphic designer. My interest in three dimensional design soon evolved and expanded to wearable art.

The start and inspiration of all my designs are the materials, textures and colors, which I use like a palette to create “wearable paintings” . I like to experiment with new and unexpected combinations—fish leather might enhance a soft llama fabric. My designs create tension by counterbalancing the soft, irregular shapes of natural leather or fabrics with hard-edged metal handles and clasps ordinarily used in farm equipment. Repurposed hardware, natural imperfections on leather, irregular shapes and combinations of vintage buttons lead to the design solutions.
