A native of Virginia, Laura Edwards trained as a painter at The University of North Carolina in Ashville, the art rich area of western North Carolina. She draws her creative experiences from working not only as a painter but also as a printmaker. She currently resides in Purcellville, Virginia and works from her studio at The Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria.
