After many years as a potter, I found myself increasingly drawn to fiber - handweaving to be exact. With weaving I have been able to explore a wide range of color and depth of texture that I was never quite able to achieve as a potter. I enjoy the rhythmic movements and tactile experience, similar to but different from those of clay work, and the deeply satisfying sense of creation of something beautiful and useful.

I work primarily in tencel, cotton, rayon, and chenille, with an occasional foray into wool, and concentrate on wearable textiles that are soft and warm and comforting
